In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

Job responsibilities:! m; R5 N4 _  v; |! \! n

2 ]$ D- t, U! u9 P+ fKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;" P0 e, L& z* Z7 |. Q9 K( w+ n9 U  [

- Y* \8 b1 X9 IHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;* H: j  z% E( u3 V! _
o
) N5 [. g% r: d! XLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;4 P8 A: [" i. t  G  F

3 z+ H4 s3 C* T, F/ dDealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

6 Q2 S9 q! _$ H% U( a8 S# NUndertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)) R3 ^7 _6 l; f$ @+ h7 C6 w( G

The ideal candidate should
8 M% }' c8 r7 G; W/ Uo4 K* j9 y  \/ j! L- X
be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
- c  H5 u4 g; Q! ?o
2 D) B2 T$ M9 D' c& ghave ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

; ?4 Z5 o7 `- J) w4 D" c6 I1 i8 nhave own transport  l: Y  }7 |8 w$ X

% w( D0 ~# l& |3 g( _5 K/ `be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

/ w- _, i  N# j7 T7 y7 R! Khave Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list/ a9 p4 ?) F4 K, _' z4 i1 I

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese
# m" G6 M  C' OPrevious experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.+ ^# ?8 {0 {1 p4 u+ p
