In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

1 E* P& B( Q& a8 {0 ]: e: Z1 vKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;# ^+ J; [# t$ ?! ^
o" o5 q8 a+ J# R8 f+ ?( N9 S
Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;9 `; j* t; w. ~% k; M
o
6 m  N/ d- N+ _  ]6 Z  t4 DLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;/ D- s7 t2 Z( d% {7 d
o5 L- D* @* v6 k* i
Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly9 b+ Y+ Z) R  D( z  i: T
o: K9 }% b; `" b4 f* B
Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

Maintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly  K7 g: `' I( o+ C% Q
The ideal candidate should
0 H% h( S& i# [4 z& a) I& [o  B. [1 r8 A0 g' k% V
be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
3 G3 v1 z- S$ ^; j4 ?5 ho8 U5 ~" _* h0 e  S+ I2 \/ w
have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;
- A$ I# ?8 q1 i$ z( @) Lo! i' C2 I: ]7 C/ f! l
have own transport
0 r! s0 h; n6 Q3 So
) s7 B- j5 H) m. H, mbe familiar with common office software such as MS Office( r5 a7 d& |0 V( K! O9 B
o$ E0 L: _. Z, V+ T: ^. N
have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list5 G1 {0 l" o4 n6 @

8 `! k3 ]9 V4 c0 M  y1 P/ Vbe able to communicate in both English and Chinese& }9 T5 W' |7 t  d  d% b
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.9 d) O& F" q' v9 h( Q: [1 w
