    The firm is running a Summer Placement Scheme for a limited   ]$ Y3 O1 v! p5 x. H2 g5 |3 F
    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is
$ {" p! ^, l+ c. f- [! \* ^; ~3 u    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney / S2 T8 y& W0 y6 i7 Z  v$ Q
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
$ ?5 V; ~# @- x: t1 J    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters
  k; P9 B! {2 ~+ ]" }7 |5 m    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent 1 B2 V! v/ \' s+ H* ?
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a ' n+ _, L' t( L' X
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
9 v( O( V9 U( b6 v, K5 F/ {$ p4 f    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement - r! p6 I! P$ u8 X$ U
