    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is ) v' |( O, S2 z% N
    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
% R1 g; B: y$ c    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
, f+ J% J- h4 S    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters ( u1 h0 v! e2 Y3 I
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
! r! {$ O1 Y  G  ~" L% \9 q    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
- F3 m) e% a/ `" @7 m    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
# l: m* U/ r& u. [5 z    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
