About the position:

    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is
3 K: R- _! N' d9 I$ p    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
2 J; |9 [* l* I. e) U1 D& L8 W    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
9 c+ z2 H2 b# b) f5 J0 c* o# }    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters
& T) b. B/ h; H. t- I4 [* h6 |    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent 6 i$ ~5 `* i/ n# P
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
6 S  m# v! S& o) J( t7 s' R    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
- g8 P# S5 H; A! h    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
* x- S1 c6 V, d$ H4 X9 d9 h9 [8 C    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
