    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney $ C* _' ^5 W3 F; l* T
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
5 `( o- C+ h4 w3 \& j    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters / H7 Y( s# k( G6 K  N
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent + S, U2 Q, b' n. i
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
! M, ?- f, N' g  F" B3 L    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
0 \6 R' w1 d/ d/ j    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement 7 O! H* }3 T9 W- v
