About the position:

    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is
; K& @1 ]+ a! ~8 }5 b$ {# K    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney , b, _/ E% m% u4 j! ?" r
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand # w- ?; T$ s8 g, t) X- A8 O. y# N
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters & r4 n% ^7 z/ p9 R) \0 n/ t
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent / {. B1 C4 F2 X- Q! s; G
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 3 T- x, _# M$ t) \
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
% K' c! i, q) d& f9 h/ K    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
9 R5 N8 ^9 X! M    students with an audience of patent attorneys. # A. L. u/ h8 a* @0 k) ]
