我有一朋友，访问学者，来曼城访问4个半月，他需要去警察局注册吗？我依稀记得只有6个月以上的才需要，但不是很确定。另外，这种短期访问的，能在银行开户吗？谢谢。

leave to enter for longer than 6 months or limited leave to remain which will allow him

condition was imposed when he arrived).
