We know that some students have been refused their Tier 1 – Post Study% k$ m/ Z( b" t' e* f1 Q4 S) M( u8 }
Work visas because the Home office has not accepted the confirmation6 y) Q5 S$ s. r* ~
of award letter issued by the Student Services Centre as proof of the7 Z# R& {& z$ f$ K0 I v; n0 V
student's award. We wrote to the Home Office about this issue and they
0 k* j7 P6 [& ?8 Z1 Lhave now confirmed that our confirmation of award letter (the version
9 n. [% O6 J1 J# ~6 m! n3 _issued in or after November) is sufficient proof that a student has+ c. W' B+ Q8 X: o$ I
been awarded their degree. They have also agreed to reconsider
, W' F& m7 M( q9 Tstudents' applications which were refused on this basis.

Student Services Centre to speak to a member of the International

confirmation of award letter that you submitted as part of your7 e, F: I. y1 M0 e s7 s' W
original application. In order to do this you must ring us on 0161 275
