Work visas because the Home office has not accepted the confirmation6 |% w1 [: _' T4 C: f, A! _
of award letter issued by the Student Services Centre as proof of the
$ `$ P0 g; N" o* k* wstudent's award. We wrote to the Home Office about this issue and they1 K1 f. o1 a. Q: L2 J* E
have now confirmed that our confirmation of award letter (the version% [5 Z' P4 F5 M( ^4 B
issued in or after November) is sufficient proof that a student has
( o2 u4 [0 I- j# U7 _* nbeen awarded their degree. They have also agreed to reconsider
% b/ \ F0 Y7 ?4 [0 dstudents' applications which were refused on this basis.' C0 t8 D7 {% p E j
, o$ z* q& p: i$ o: Y; A$ TIf you have had your Tier 1 – Post Study Work application solely/ M) R7 Y) {7 [2 q! W0 T
refused because the Home Office did not accept the validity of the5 e2 n2 e; J. C6 N; |+ Q! _
confirmation of award letter issued by us then you need to come to the
9 o( H2 T% V1 r2 |Student Services Centre to speak to a member of the International
% s$ Q- e) A) T2 jAdvice Team. You also need to bring in your refusal notice and the( R( [4 R* }' b9 E5 d+ q
confirmation of award letter that you submitted as part of your
) V2 x" B' X' P# @4 y; \* T# Foriginal application. In order to do this you must ring us on 0161 275. g, d" L$ G& c
5000 (Option 1) to make an appointment to see a member of the% R$ @6 Z5 ^3 I% ]7 e8 l$ B
