    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
: W. G' k& B  {    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand 9 y- ^4 |5 U, r- G1 ?3 a+ b
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters ( T* t2 \0 l$ }8 A- V" L  h# i
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
7 x. }0 B- l8 u5 X. s    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 1 m. ^' G% h  u0 G5 g
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the ) p9 }8 C$ t) Z7 v) X" C1 l9 T0 U
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement 4 n8 s$ W4 l# H6 i" q/ F+ s$ K% l: f
