In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. % y% E9 E0 {( OKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;$ j( k; G' O% w( |# d

" F. f0 M0 W+ u% x9 a* L+ `- B2 E+ KHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;
' z% c" g# ]# G6 ~o
5 w. d- z5 I/ ]. |% fLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;& E- B: j$ o5 j' b+ q

Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

( g' Y1 e7 z0 F8 c- A& e3 ]Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

The ideal candidate should

* I. n* a, D, T6 \* Ybe reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
' R$ j4 d* c# M8 I7 x: s& To2 a. E6 ]0 u4 K4 Y
have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

# x; L( b8 P2 m$ t& P; [have own transport7 |. t9 l, o  [, k* B. S
o* N: I- V& P- J& V4 H' Y
be familiar with common office software such as MS Office) h/ G% d5 n' t

6 {) o" x# H  Thave Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list
