In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. 6 b* l  ~& B1 W8 l6 U9 m; {& W

5 Z& [( R' b+ k6 t" `Keeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;. A& B+ c+ c" n/ y0 d0 s

1 s9 U6 x: I2 C( rHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;
; c" S' j2 l3 {o
% F% c$ n( H% R' PLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;
& y1 w& D* U* t9 h7 co$ ~# m5 J9 {+ ?
Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly
! J0 X9 \" a: N5 Wo4 Y# ^9 q7 o4 H( D" O5 Z2 Z
Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)
! y. b/ D' q) To
- G! L2 j2 f3 v/ U' zMaintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly9 [! Z  [4 b1 p
The ideal candidate should

% Q2 W* r& ^: W% Lhave ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; " g% C3 D- e+ }" X! T

have own transport

4 _" w; [* a. |# J# i! i4 Sbe familiar with common office software such as MS Office

- K+ \* A/ Y8 X2 N; xhave Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list
) S2 Y' e3 d1 W7 k# w2 j, j- A/ fo
/ O" U' |/ w) L" O" _be able to communicate in both English and Chinese
( e8 r; f6 k% q, b8 L2 V0 x# nPrevious experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
