In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

Job responsibilities:

1 u* x# b# {9 Q- Y% \( U$ DKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;
; [; C6 J& `6 Y4 s# Q6 G5 c7 mo
6 y% s& p2 \4 L& ZHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;
2 w5 `, f) H1 b5 k& f& F+ y' xo
4 C7 a" c" c) z- ^* a2 cLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

  M6 [  ]/ W! g9 h/ `5 CDealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)4 Q* D) S  ^: Y

have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; - F1 }# F5 A  Y7 x& i$ {

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list6 n1 ?5 d" H6 R$ ?! Q

Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
