    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
/ d+ W" v( g) ^( D" C    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
( d8 Z& `+ A! i2 T    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters ! G6 H) [$ k' f( ]1 p$ C' b/ @
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
. g. |* @3 |% b    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
, e0 A9 j# w# A+ Y    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the $ @; X8 q6 \& L* E' P
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
* A' i: f7 M  B) r* P! `1 n" a" `1 g    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
