ZT:难忘的“怀特岛”之旅--- 2007年4月3日！！！
今天刚刚从 Isle of Wight 旅游回来，感觉真的很不错。。 它是英国最南部的一个小岛，华人称之‘ 怀特岛’。

# d0 P" ^9 T& d9 U0 V4月3日: heading 2 Isle of Wight from Southampton by taking the Red Funnel ferry which took one hour... 下船后我们到了一个叫East Cowes的地方， 然后步行了15mins 到了来此岛必来的一个地方: Osborne House (it was well-knowen as Queen Victoria's favorite seaside home). 那个park里的景色真的是太美了，顿时想到了北京的颐和园，世上所有的皇家园林都是这么的漂亮。两个小时后，我们坐车到了 Ryde , which is the second largest town on that island i recon, judging from the marks on the map... 在那里看了一下海边并吃了些东东，然后直接再向东到了 Bembridge,where i found a quite nice and quality 4 star rated B&B and stayed there overnight... the service, ppl and atmosphere there were just so perfect which is even much better than the four star hotel. we had a very yummy seafood supper and a sandtard continential breakfast there. i wouldn never forget that B&B... (i have some pics abt it ^^).

7 e: ~ k% Z* f# S4月4日，天气特别的好，万里无云， 温度也特别的好。我们从Bembridge出发去了很有名的Sundown,在那个小town我们见到了特别漂亮的seaview and beach...尤其是那些独具特色的海边villa真的是让我想到了在California 的日子。。。一个小时后，我们坐车向南到了Ventnor...这里以漂亮的beach而每年吸引了成千上万的游客。海边的美丽景色真的会让你感到来的很值。 然后我们坐车到了岛的最中心的最大的town叫作 Newport，从那里又转车去了最南边的Yarmouth 和 Alum bay的 著名的 Needles park... 不过needles park 真的让我们感到很失望，并不像‘传说’中的那么美好。。。十分钟就可以把所有的东西都游完，而这十分钟你要用来回二小时的旅途奔波来换取。。。 太不值了。。。 最后又坐车回到了Newport,向北到了我们坐船的地方，直接打道回俯。。。3 N! l) |, ~0 C

E* u9 d5 y( ]2 _% S Z. ?总的来说， 这个小岛真的很值得一游，其实岛上有很多有意思的activities可以玩， 如windsurfing, sailing, fishing, paragliding, horseback riding, etc....只是我们的时间太有限了。。。 岛上的人都是英国居民，他们极其的好客。。。 那里的teenagers也非常的educated and behaved， 不像england mainland 这里的teenagers。在岛上的二天中，我没有看到任何外国长相的人，也没有见到中国人。。。 我们入住 的B&B的主人告诉我们我们是他们几年来接待过的第一批中国人，他们十分的高兴与好奇。。。 4 z& R8 y F/ l& r
$ d' |: x6 N1 S; j* `& Q这个小岛真的使我改变了一直以来对英国的厌烦感。从那里的气候，建筑到 当地好客的居民，真的让我想到了在California的那气日子。。。 太美了。 原来英国也有这样的一些地方。。。 希望以后对英国多一些了解。。。anyhow, i just put a few pics on my photo section on this site.... u might be able 2 catch some view and imagination of that beautiful island from them.. ^^ |
