In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

; L" Q/ {) s5 QKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;! y! B! N) `5 C6 s" s  Z( U6 f+ {
o$ X; e8 q$ s/ B# V! ^
Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;

* k' ]6 l4 S! y0 eLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

/ q* O8 A! @: \9 C' {  |Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)- i7 I& O/ C  M. F, r

The ideal candidate should/ G/ w7 Z) S" o" }+ V

be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details( P' E" I; M7 d3 ^, J8 s$ z

5 z& G; y) d/ J$ D+ F7 ?have own transport

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list7 R" s0 F! G- A' T$ \

Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage." ?* Z8 I+ F0 o! {
