We are looking to recruit 2 Trade & Investment/Inward Investment officers who will work closely with a Senior Trade & Investment/Inward Investment Officer and with the wider Trade & Investment team whose main objectives are to promote British trade and investment into southern China and promote the UK as the best inward investment location for potential investors in South China. % G: b/ z& u4 b0 ?

- Research on specified industrial sectors/companies in Southern China

- Supporting senior staff in contact building, and building a personal network of working level contacts

$ X- g0 D9 T3 i1 w/ W3 w# p- Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Experience of translation and/or interpretation helpful: @% N; B% }2 h5 P- N0 }
- Some previous work experience is essential. Commercial experience, including in a foreign organisation, would be desirable+ g% j" m2 T/ M% Y: n
- Some knowledge of the UK and its commercial environment would be an advantage
- I) T/ g% \9 B0 y7 L- Excellent self-management, good organisational abilities and an eye for detail: L; E q( ~' S8 S+ S. Y/ F( D
- Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
' U M. X% K$ [/ x7 L, ?- A good working knowledge of computer office programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

The appointment will be at locally engaged level 3 for China based staff. We offer a competitive salary package starting at 7,925 RMB per month with excellent development opportunities and a 20 day annual leave entitlement.
