: _5 {- p/ z, RIn order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. $ E& u5 s2 s% [3 h: L; x/ j

- q$ ^- S. W$ ]5 v2 @, N8 QKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;2 M* Z) e& G7 r" q5 R' f. N( o
o7 y7 o8 o2 w- x5 a) W. k0 A) C
Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;

Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;0 P0 }- g5 a  p

( h! |7 a+ [4 F4 ~- ]8 RDealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)
) z7 M- A4 `6 O) Ro/ {" J7 ^( S6 @& p, {( w
Maintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly

be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details6 e- k7 K; F! H( k
o' D- H/ `+ R8 u2 [! M
have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; 6 q7 R7 Q) K5 S! {

. A0 M6 Q" u2 N, Mhave own transport

6 I4 n  L* k, V$ Jbe familiar with common office software such as MS Office

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list$ w0 n) K! p+ U* ^

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese) X' E( p! J/ o9 ~0 a& Z
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.# t, X* ]" |  e" i$ X
